The owner of Ghalamsoo brand, Samira Raeisi, is a lecturer in Computer Science who lives in Sarbaz County, Sistan and Baluchestan.
Ghalamsoo is a combination of Kalamkari from Isfahan and needlework from Baluchestan.
All the threads used in Ghalamsoo products are eco-friendly and made in Iran. The brand is actually a form of donation made by an Isfahani woman to women in Baluchestan, in order to empower them to make a better living. Ghalamsoo has also developed a micro-fund for women doing needlework. Through generating jobs, the brand is believed to have built confidence in Baluchi women and to have made them somewhat financially independent.
